Book Review :: Rethinking the Successful Church, Samuel D. Rima
Finding Serenity in God's Sovereignty
Baker. In a day when only Mega-churches are considered successful, this book is needed. Most pastors are in communities that are growing and thriving. They aren't located in a thriving bedroom community where you'd have to lock the doors to keep people out. Most of us work in hard fields, the labor is strenuous and the results aren't always there. This is a refreshing book in a Christian culture that applauds bigger as better, larger and louder. I highly recommend this book for the pastor who is struggling with his call, his church and his circumstances.
